Quilting since: 1995.
Teaching quilting since: 2008
Favorite techniques: Traditional piecing, hand quilting, hand piecing.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Design and Pattern Making, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa
Design philosophy: Since I like the look of sashingand borders but I don’t necessarily like the fuss, I constantly challenge myself to design blocks that create secondary designs and border blocks that can be added to the rows when the main part of the quilt is sewn together.

Quilting since: I made my first 3 quilts in 1975 but didn’t quilt again until 1994.

Favorite techniques: Hand and machine appliqué and the latest technique I have learned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa
Design philosophy: I like find ways to make traditional blocks look new by incorporating them with other blocks and techniques.
