Machine Basic Binding Supply List
In this class you will learn the basics of adding binding to your quilt projects by machine. Bring a small quilt the size of a placemat or larger. If you are comfortable make the binding before class.
Sewing machine in good working order
Basic sewing kit
Thread to match your binding fabric and backing fabric.
Rotary Cutter
Chaco Liner Chalk Wheel
1” x 6” acrylic ruler or a small ruler
Bring:
1. 20X20 ( Please no larger) quilt sandwich. THIS IS ONLY FOR PRACTICE AND SHOULD NOT BE A FINISHED QUILT
2. Sewing machine with new, sharp sewing needle
3. PRE CUT THE FOLLOWING FABRIC:
Three 1/1/2 fabric strips. (120 inches) color or print do not matter
Three 1 3/4 fabric strips. (120 inches) contrasting color from above
Thread to match 1 3/4 fabric strip color
Thread to match back of quilt sandwich fabric color
4. Thread snip
5. Fabric scissors
1/4 presser foot
Stitch in the ditch presser foot.
If you do not have either of these don’t worry about it.
