–      Includes cutting instructions and finished quilt project ideas

–      Enough foundations to practice in class and continue at home

Sewing Machine Kit (Bring to Class)

?    Sewing machine in good working order

?    Machine manual (or digital copy on your phone)

?    Power cord and foot pedal

?    Fresh machine needle — size 80/12 universal or quilting needle

?    Bobbins wound and ready with your selected thread

?    Neutral thread (or thread to coordinate with your fabrics)

Fabric

?    A collection of light and dark fabrics in colors of your choice

–      Jelly roll precut strips (2½") are ideal — one roll provides plenty of variety

–      Fat quarters or scraps in light/dark value contrast also work beautifully

–      Choose any collection you love — this technique works with any fabric style

?    Fabric does not need to be pre-washed for this project

Cutting & Trimming Tools (Bring to Class)

?    Rotary cutter

?    Self-healing cutting mat

?    Add-a-Quarter ruler (12")

?    3" x 8" piece of template plastic or stiff cardstock

–      Used for pressing seams cleanly against the foundation edge

Sewing Kit

?    Small fabric scissors or thread snips

?    Seam ripper

?    Glass head or flat flower pins

?    Iron and pressing surface

–      Classroom ironing stations are provided — personal travel irons are welcome but not required
