Kaffe Fassett workshop #2 - "Seed Packets"
Basic cutting notions are needed.
Ruler at least 6.5" x 24"
Rotary cutter
Marking pensil
cutting mat
Kaffe Reducing lens ( Can purchase at Woodside Quilting at class with you class discount)
The workshop Seed Packet variation is composed of 6” and 3 ¼” squares. It features large scale floral and
vegetable and fruit fabrics fussy cut for each square. The blossoms or fruit should fill out the large 6”
squares and the small 3 ¼” squares.
Choose your fabrics with an eye for them to create a harmonious arrangement. They should go
together well – perhaps most will have a similar background or same level of brightness.
You will need:
15-20 half yards super large florals
15-20 half yards medium/large florals
Please DO NOT cut fabrics before the class.
Be prepared to shop with Kaffe and Brandon during the workshop.
We suggest bringing a 6” X WOF ruler and a 6” square ruler to make cutting fabric easier. You may wish to bring
some washi tape to mark off your 3 ¼ square.
