Rotary cutter
Marking pensil
cutting mat
Kaffe Reducing lens ( Can purchase at Woodside Quilting at class with you class discount)
Choose your fabrics with an eye to the color or mood you wish to explore. Keep your choices harmonious. For
example, if you would like to explore RED, then purchase reds, oranges, reddish purples, magenta, warm brown, etc.
You will need 20 or so ¼ and ½ yard cuts different large-scale fabrics.
For the points, you may want to wait and purchase all your fabrics at the workshop after you have set up your octagons.
The quilt is more successful if the points’ color way is different to your octagon’s color way. The points create a
frame to set off your octagon thereby creating a beautiful snowball.
