Judy Niemeyer Foundation Paper Piecing class - 3 day
The following items will be used in class: Judy Niemeyer Pick a Pattern class
Pattern and fabric - Let Woodside Quilting know email or call what pattern you need at least 2 weeks in advance for them to order the pattern and receive your 15% discount. Also Come into the shop 1-2 days early to choose your fabrics if you want an early start. If you want May's help in choosing your fabrics you will need to wait until class time.
Sewing Machine and Accessories
Iron & Ironing Boards - we have plenty of Ironing boards in our retreat center.
One piece of Template Plastic (3" by 12” piece)
12" or 6” Add-a-quarter ruler (you must have this)
6" by 12" ruler (needed for trimming)
Medium size cutting mat
Rotary cutter 45mm or 60 mm
New rotary blade
Size 70/10 needles
Scissors
Seam ripper
washable glue stick
Glue Pen (Fons and Porter, Sewline, or similar)
sewing thread
Purple Thang
Scotch Tape
Paper and pen to take notes.
For class, please cut out all your papers and put them into the proper labeled bag according to your directions, leaving an 1/8 inch all around the pieces. Also cut your fabrics according to your directions and place into the proper bags. If you need help with cutting fabrics, you can call me or wait until class. | Instructor Bio: | May started working with color when she was very young. My Grandma made quilts and I got to iron the fabric scraps for her. I signed up for a retreat out in Montana with Judy. I talked with Judy and she said that I should apply. I applied to be a certified instructor but I thought I would not make it the first round. When I was actually picked?I was on cloud 9 for a long time. This was a major accomplishment for me. I look forward to sharing Judy?s techniques and methods with you as we create amazing and beautiful quilts. I am determined to help you get through and enjoy this journey. Rest assured you are in good hands and I am at your disposal for any help you may need. |
