Kaffe & Brandon will be here May 2nd through May 4th for an amazing lecture and workshop series you do not want to miss.
Join us for a week long celebration of Kaffe and his incredible Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics and designs.
Lecture: "The Power of Color"
The lecture is scheduled for Friday May 2nd 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the
Grandview University "Speed Lyceum" Lecture hall.

"The Power of Color"
During the lecture Kaffe will take you on a journey of color, texture and design that will inspire your many projects to come.
This lecture and Kaffe's extraordinary sense of color will motivate your creative juices. You will see from his viewpoint just how important not only color is to your next project but also how texture and shape can change the look of your quilts.
Kaffe will show you visually how the "Power of Color" can change the outcome of every project.
Spaces are limited for this lecture so please sign up early. If you find the lecture is full you can sign up to be on the waitlist at no cost.
Tickets must be purchased in advance as seating is limited.
If the event is full you will not be able to buy tickets at the door the evening of the event.
The lecture includes your book "Quilts on an English Farm" and the book signing will take place directly after the lecture.
We will have a POPUP Shop of some of the most sought after Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics including
his newest collections and notions of Kaffe at the lecture.
The POPUP Shop will be open from 4:30 - 6:30 prior to the lecture in the atrium of the lecture hall.
The Woodside Quilting store will be open all day just 3 miles north of the lecture hall with even more for your shopping pleasure.

Book signing and photo op. starting at 8:30
The POPUP shop will also be open during the book signing event.

Kaffe Fassett Workshops Saturday and Sunday May 3rd & 4th
Join Kaffe for a personal journey of color as you spend a day in one of his creative workshops.
We have two workshops planned for this amazing weekend below.
The workshops will run from 9:30 - 4:30 each day with an hour break for a catered lunch.
Each workshop is $399 and includes a catered lunch and snacks.
We will open early for your shopping pleasure.

WORKSHOP #1 - "Quilts on an English Farm Workshop"
Saturday May 3rd join us for "Quilts on an English Farm" workshop.
"Country Snowballs" is the quilt from the book you will work on for this workshop.
Kaffe will give a short lecture on this quilt and what to expect in selecting and creating your color pallet for your specific creation.
You will work with both Kaffe and Brandon to go on a personal shopping tour in our quilt shop to choose the Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics that you, Brandon and Kaffe select.
You will then cut and place your fabrics on your flannel design wall grid with Kaffe and Brandon's help. Once your color and placement are complete, you will be taking the flannel wall grid home to starting sewing your creation.
You WILL NOT be sewing in the class. NO SEWING MACHINES are needed for this workshop.
This is all about learning from Kaffe's lecture on how to design the best quilt using his color placement and design techniques.
DO NOT bring any sewing machines to this workshop.

WORKSHOP #2 - "Seed Packets"
This is one of Kaffe's most popular quilt designs "Seed Packets".
This fun and scrappy quilt encourages you to play with color and scale. Just like the many quilts Kaffe has designed. This quilt you can make unique by choosing the fabrics and colors that work together. Kaffe and Brandon both will help you with choosing fabrics, color, style along with design and texture to create a one of a kind piece for you.
This also is a hands on workshop. Fussy cutting your fabrics to get just the right placement, color and design to make your quilt pop.
You will then cut and place your fabrics on your flannel design wall grid with Kaffe and Brandon's help.
