"Fall Fest" Retreat

Held at the Conference Center in the
Holiday Inn Express, 2502 South Hulsizer Rd., Ankeny, Iowa 50021.

About the Retreat

This open retreat is for anyone—work on any project you like. There's plenty of room to spread out, making it a great time to bring friends for an unforgettable experience. Note: Our normal club retreats won't meet at the shop in October; instead, join this week-long event to connect with other groups!

We'll have a “Project Show & Tell” all week long to showcase accomplishments. Expect a celebration with lots of fun, a gift table with over $1000 in giveaways, games, prizes—and even a sewing machine giveaway!

This will be an extraordinary week of creativity, community, and quilting! 
Learn from experienced Woodside teachers on piecing, appliqué, color theory, and more.
Enjoy dedicated project time, collaborative quilts, mini challenges, and evening socials. Return home refreshed and inspired!

Schedule & Setup

• Retreat room open 7:00 am to 11:00 pm daily (16 hours of sewing time!)
• Sunday closes at 4:00 pm
• Setup: Sunday, October 25 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, or Monday at 7:00 am
• Room locked overnight (11:00 pm to 7:00 am) for security

Woodside Quilting and the hotel are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

What's Included

• Catered buffet lunch in the conference room lobby (except Thursday lunch will be on your own) 
• Dinner on your own (many restaurants within walking distance)
• Bring treats to share all week
• Irons, ironing boards, and design walls provided (no pins in walls)
• Your own 2x6’ table with extra shared space; chairs included
• 15% discount on regular-priced fabrics and notions in the store (5-minute drive away; some exclusions apply)

Cost & Policies

First we will have an "Early Bird" sign up for the full 7 day retreat.
Those who do the Early Bird sign up will receive a $25 store credit (only during the "Early Bird" sign up) to use the week of the retreat. 
Cost: $499 for 7 days. These folks get their Thursday for FREE!

On August 1st you can sign up for 7 days OR 2 different 3 day options. The 3-day sessions are Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, October 26, 27, & 28, OR Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, October 30, 31, and November 1 - perfect if you work, are retired, or just want a shorter retreat."
The 3 day retreat is $299
And for those 3 day retreater's if there's room available you can do an add on day on Thursday October 29 for $79.

• Cancellations 30 days or more in advance (before September 25) receive store credit
• Cancellations less than 30 days: No store credit; find your own replacement and notify us
