Join Angela for four, 2 - hour class sessions to discover the world of creative hand embroidery stitching. Her new design
"Creative Pumpkins" has a fall theme pictured. These stitches can be used to embellish both cotton and wool applique''. During the class we will be using Sue Spargo's book, Creative Stitching, 2nd Edition, as a reference for the many stitches you will be learning. Demonstrations and hands-on application of the stitches will be included in each of the four two- hour sessions. The class fee includes instruction, the pattern and a thread kit. The kit includes 9 balls of perle cotton threads in a beautiful array of solid and variegated colors for this fall project. You can choose more colors of thread in addition to the thread kit but they cannot be substituted. You can choose your own background and border fabrics. Once you have completed your project design Angela will show you how to add borders, backing and bind your project to make this into a beautiful wall hanging, table topper or pillow. We meet every other Tuesday starting Oct. 17th & 31st. Nov. 7th & 14th. 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The materials list for class is in the Long description below. Cost: $ 159.00

Angela is well known for her beautiful designs and appliqué. Now she has created a whole new class series called

"Creative Hand Embroidery Stitching" And more wool and appliqué classes for you as well.

We have been anticipating Angela's return to teaching and sharing all her new designs in 2023 and beyond.
We can't wait to get started with her.

A little bit about Angela.

Artist Angela Lawrence has created a wide ranging number of appliqué designs that take quilting from ordinary into the extraordinary. Her hand-crafted art has an inspiring beauty that draws from a variety of influences, including floral and natural elements.

Angela has taught needleturn appliqué in Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota since 1998. With a degree in education, it was only natural that her love of teaching and passion for quilting would draw her back to the classroom teaching beginning through advanced appliqué workshops. Angela enjoys all aspects of quilting but her passion is needleturn appliqué.
