We offer classes for everyone....beginners making their first quilt,
 those who want to learn new quilting techniques or those who just want to join friends in learning a fun project.

About our classes:

Register on-line or call the store.
Class fees are due at the time you enroll and are not refundable unless you provide notice 7 days before the class begins.
Books, patterns, fabrics and notions on the class supply list can be purchased at a 15% discount upon your paid enrollment, through the day of the class.
If we cancel a class, we will refund your class fee. If it's winter time and we cancel a class due to bad weather we will call you prior to class and either refund or re-schedule the class for a later time.
Beginning Free Motion Quilting

This class is for beginning or Nervous Novice free motion quilters. The goal is to give information and instruction enough to encourage confidence in free motion quilting using your domestic sewing machine. Topics covered will be selecting thread, needles, batting and other notions; preparing your sewing environment to aid in the quilting process; quilting using both marked and no-mark methods. There will be ample time to practice various quilting methods on your machine. Pre-requisite to Westalee ruler class.

Beginning Machine Quilting class using acrylic rulers on a domestic sewing machine. Westalee Rulers can help to transform your Free Motion Quilting by enabling you to undertake free motion quilting in a controlled way on your domestic sewing machine.? Using the rulers will help you to stitch a large range of beautiful patterns and designs to complement your quilts. I know that using a new product can be a bit intimidating, so this class is designed to help you get the most from your Westalee Rulers by providing hands on advice, guidance and encouragement.? Several elements will be covered on this interactive day including, attaching the Westalee foot and setting the height correctly, holding and using the standard ruler to good effect and using ruler markings.
