In this "Binding and Beyond" class you will first learn how to calculate how much fabric you will need, how to cut the strips and then how to sew the binding strips. Then we will explore the various ways of attaching the binding to the quilt. 1) Sew it on the front by machine and then flip it to the back and hand stitch. 2) Sew it on the back by machine and then flip it to the front and machine stitch. 3) We will explore envelope binding and hidden binding. While sewing on the binding we will look at various methods of making neat and trim mitered corners. We will also look at how to do piping, adding a flange with your binding and other fun embellishments to make your quilt one of a kind.
